As new search words and phrases appear on the updated list of search suggestions for search profiles, you can review the search suggestions and add any of them to the custom blacklist for a specific search profile. Adding a search word or phrase to the custom blacklist for a specific search profile means that the word or phrase will never appear as a search suggestion when patrons with that search profile enter search words or terms in Searching.
Once you blacklist a search term for a search profile, the term will not reappear in the suggestions list for the search profile, even if patrons with other search profiles enter the same phrase in Searching in the future.
For example, you can blacklist a word or phrase for patrons with a juvenile reader profile that you might allow as a search suggestion for patrons with a senior citizen reader profile.
Exercise caution when blacklisting search terms for a search profile. Once a search term has been added to the custom blacklist, it can only be removed from the custom blacklist by SirsiDynix SirsiDynix Customer Support.
